Is there a building guarantee with a new property?
New
properties have a 10-year structural guarantee, similar to the NHBC
warranty in the UK. Although this type of guarantee has been compulsory
in many northern European countries for many years, it has only become
compulsory in Spain in the last few years.
With re-sale properties, it depends on how old the property is, ie. if the property is 2 years old, there would be 8 years of structural guarantee, which would be transferred to you.
Is the property freehold? - Yes
What if prices increase before I visit?
New build prices may increase with the release of new phases. However to avoid price increases, we suggest you quickly arrange an early viewing tour where you will be in the right place at the right time to secure a price on your chosen property.
I may want to rent my property?
This is quite common, especially if you purchase as a second home. You can earn quite healthy amounts during the high season. This would depend on the location, property size and communal pool etc. This area has an abundance of golf courses, so entertains a healthy rental market.
